Transportable Homes from Our Cousin

We were one of the unlucky ones that got hit by tsunami here in Japan. The experience was really traumatic and life-changing. Because we had no place to live in, my cousin from Australia sent us two transportable homes that we could use. He said that he got the home kits at the time when he wanted to put up a modular home on the land that he bought on the top of a hill. But because he had no time to install them, he decided to just put them aside and wait for the best time to assemble them.

My cousin said that when he saw the news on TV, he was worried and he couldn’t think of anything except where we were going to live. Our house was washed off and we were lucky to be in Tokyo at that time so we were spared. After days of calling, I got a chance to talk to my cousin. He sent us money for our basic needs. He said that she will send us portable homes that we could use while we rebuild our homes.

I can’t thank my cousin enough for being so generous and thoughtful. Now, we still live in the transportable home that he gave to us while we are building a new home.
